Stream to Twitch from a Chromebook
OBS Studio and Streamlabs don't run on ChromeOS. flint runs in Chrome, so a Chromebook can stream to Twitch with scenes, overlays and alerts like any other computer.
How
- Open flint.cam in Chrome and allow the camera and microphone.
- Pick a layout, then add your screen or a window (on ChromeOS the screen's sound can come too).
- Sign in with Twitch and press Go live.
Getting the most from a Chromebook
- Settings › Video & recording › Pick for me chooses a size and frame rate the Chromebook can keep up with; 720p at 30 fps is a good start on a modest one.
- Keep effects that need a graphics card (background removal, shader visuals) for faster machines.
- The Stats dock shows dropped frames and how busy the computer is, so you can tell if it's keeping up.
- Your phone can be a second camera: scan the QR code in the phone camera source.
Questions
