Which browser to use
Chrome or Edge on a computer does everything; others do the basics.
Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera and Arc on Windows, Mac, Linux or ChromeOS: everything works.
Firefox and Safari on a computer: cameras, microphones, pictures, text, videos, recording and going live work. Some things don't: web overlays (they need Chrome's Element Capture), Stream Decks (WebHID) and, in Safari, MIDI. Safari can't share a single tab.
Firefox and Twitch: Twitch needs H.264 video, which Firefox gets from Cisco's OpenH264 plugin (it normally downloads it by itself). If flint says your stream is sending sound but no picture, open about:addons › Plugins and make sure "OpenH264 Video Codec provided by Cisco Systems" is enabled.
iPhone and iPad: every browser there is Safari underneath, and Apple doesn't allow screen sharing, Stream Decks or MIDI. You can still stream your camera and microphone.
Android: camera and microphone, but no screen sharing.
flint shows a line under the top bar when your browser is missing something.
