Auto director: scenes that switch themselves
Cut to whoever's talking, switch scenes on the beat, or to your face cam when you shout.
Studio › Auto director switches the live scene by itself, so a one-person stream looks produced. Pick how:
- Who's talking (podcasts, co-hosts, guests): for each person, choose the microphone or guest they talk into and the scene that shows them. Whoever talks on their own for a moment gets the cut. A wide shot (a scene with everyone) covers people talking over each other and long silences. Short pauses between words don't count, and every shot lasts at least Each shot lasts at least (2.5 s), so it never flickers.
- On the beat (DJ sets, music): tick the scenes that take turns; flint hears the tempo from the kicks in your mix and cuts on the bar line every 1, 2, 4, 8 or 16 bars, in order or shuffled.
- Reactions (gaming): a usual scene and a reaction scene (your face cam, big). When you shout, or when Auto-Shorts spots chat going wild, it cuts to the reaction for a few seconds and back.
Turn it on at the bottom of the window. While it's on, the status bar says Director (click it to change or stop it). Each scene's own transition is used. A key or Stream Deck button can turn it on and off: Studio › Controls › Auto director on / off.
Switching a scene yourself is fine: the director carries on from there.
