Bring on a guest (a co-host's camera)
Send a link: their camera and mic join your stream, and they hear it back without their own voice.
- Sources › + › Guest. Its properties show a link and a QR code: Copy link and send it to your guest, or let them scan the code with their phone (the green room shows it too until they join).
- They open it in Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari (computer or phone), pick their camera and mic, type their name and press Join.
- Their picture appears in the Guest source, and their voice in the mixer under the source's name. Place it like any camera.
Talkback: your guest hears the stream's sound (your mic, music, everything in the mix) without their own voice, so you can talk together and nobody hears an echo. Headphones help.
The picture and sound go straight from their browser to yours: flint's server only passes the handshake along. On networks that block direct connections (some offices, schools and mobile networks), they go through Cloudflare's relay instead, still never through flint's server. If even that fails, another network or a phone hotspot usually works.
The green room (Studio › Green room, or the button in a guest's properties): guests who join wait backstage, unseen and unheard on the stream, with a live preview for you. Press Hear them to listen on your own speakers (not the stream) for a quick sound check, message them, then Bring on when it's time; Send backstage takes them off again. Their page shows BACKSTAGE or YOU'RE LIVE, and your messages. Turn off Wait backstage when they join for a guest who should go straight on.
A scene that arranges itself: Make a "Guests" scene in the green room puts your camera and every guest in one scene that lays out whoever's on air side by side, or in a grid, and rearranges as guests come on, go backstage or drop. Tick Arrange by themselves on any other scene to do the same there (only cameras and guests move; titles and overlays stay put). Drag one guest's card onto another, or use its arrows, to change their place in the grid.
One guest per Guest source: add another for a second guest (Add a guest in the green room copies their link). Anyone with the link can join as that guest, so send it only to them; New link in its properties makes a new one and the old one stops working. Background removal works on guests too.
