Transitions
Cut, fade, move, slide, swipe, zoom, fade to colour, luma wipe, stinger.
The Transition panel sets how one scene changes into the next, and how long it takes.
- Cut: instant. Fade, slide, swipe, zoom: the classics.
- Fade to colour: through black (or any colour).
- Luma wipe: a pattern sweeps across; or use your own black-and-white picture (dark parts go first).
- Stinger: a video plays over the change (an animated logo, say), and the scenes swap at the cut point you set, while the video covers the screen.
- Move: things that are in both scenes glide to their new place and size; the rest fade.
- Shader transitions come from shader plugins.
A scene can have its own transition: Scene options (the cog under the Scenes list) › Transition into this scene.
