What flint knows about you
Your video never reaches us. What little flint sends, and how to turn it off.
Your stream goes straight from your browser to Twitch. Your camera, screen and sound never pass through flint's server. Your scenes, stream key and sign-ins live in this browser (and in your encrypted backup, if you turn backup on: we can't read it).
flint sends us two small, anonymous things, both of which you can turn off in Settings › General:
- Usage statistics: once a day, which kinds of source and which features your setup uses (say "camera, chat, alert box, Stream Deck keys"), and counts like "went live twice, added a camera". With a random id made in this browser, not linked to your Twitch name or anything else. Never names, text, links or keys. It tells us which parts of flint matter to people, so we know what to improve.
- Error reports: when something breaks, the error, flint's version and your browser, so we can fix it.
Tips: once a day, coming back to flint shows a short tip about something you haven't tried yet. No more tips on the card, or Settings › General, turns them off.
