- Microphone: which one, and a live level meter. Talk like you do on stream: the loudest moments should reach the yellow, not the red. flint says if it's too quiet or too loud.
- Kind: My voice cuts background noise (fans, keyboards); Music or an instrument leaves the sound untouched. Hear it on this computer plays it back to you (headphones only).
Microphones go straight into the mixer; they're always in the stream, in every scene.
Music sounding hollow? A microphone's voice processing (noise suppression, echo cancellation) is made for talking and makes music sound hollow and watery. If your music plays through speakers, your mic hears it, and flint warns you (a note, and MUSIC? on the mic in the mixer: click it to switch the processing off). Best of all: wear headphones, and bring the music in directly: share the screen or app with its sound, or add your audio interface's output as its own microphone source with the processing off.
