No sound, or the meter doesn't move

Mic permission, mute, the wrong device, or a hidden source.

• No microphone in the mixer? Add one: Audio mixer › Add microphone.
• Meter still? Allow the microphone (the icon left of the address bar), check it isn't muted (the speaker button), and choose the right device in its properties.
• A screen's or video's sound missing? When sharing a screen, tick Share audio in the browser's box (Windows and ChromeOS can share system sound; Macs only a tab's). And sources are only heard while they're visible in the live scene.
• You can't hear yourself? That's normal: use the headphones button on a channel to listen.
• An echo? Something is being heard twice: turn off headphones (monitoring) on sources playing through your speakers, or wear headphones.
