Choppy, blurry or lagging stream
Too much for your connection or your computer: here's how to tell and fix it.
Look at the Stats panel while live:
- Upload-limited or a falling bitrate: your connection can't keep up. Lower the bitrate, or the size to 720p, or the frame rate to 30. Run the speed test. Use a cable rather than Wi-Fi; pause big downloads.
- Encoder-limited, System busy, or frames Dropping: your computer can't keep up. Use 720p at 30 fps, close other apps and tabs, remove heavy effects (blur, shaders, many web overlays). Plug a laptop in.
- Blurry when lots moves: normal at low bitrates. More bitrate, or a smaller size, helps.
Background tabs: flint keeps going when hidden, but Chrome may slow a hidden tab when memory is short. Keep flint in its own window if you can.
