Recording

Save what's on screen to a video file, while live or not.

Separate tracks for editing: Settings › Video & recording › Record each camera, guest and mic separately too. Alongside the main recording, every camera, phone camera, guest and microphone gets its own file, all starting together so they line up in your editor. In Chrome and Edge you pick a folder once and every file goes there (named with the same time, then "program", or the source's name); in other browsers they download when you stop.

Press Record in the Controls panel. Where the browser allows, it asks where to save first and writes straight there; otherwise the file downloads when you stop.

Screenshots: View › Screenshot of the program saves what's live as a full-size PNG; a source's … menu › Screenshot saves just its own picture (as it comes in, before filters). For a key, Stream Deck button or chat command, add a Screenshot control (Studio › Controls). They go to your downloads.

Files are MP4 where the browser can make them, else WebM (Settings › Video & recording › Format). To record every time you go live, turn on Record while live.

Recordings use the same size and quality as the stream settings.
