Your chat beside the stage

Read and answer Twitch chat while you're live, and delete messages, time out or ban.

The speech-bubble button in the top bar shows your chat on the right (on a phone: the Chat tab). It's your own channel's chat once you've signed in with Twitch (Settings › Stream); before that, the channel set there, read-only.

Click a name to see who they are: their badges, how old their account is, how long they've followed you, and what they've said since you opened the chat, with timeouts (1 minute, 10 minutes, an hour) and ban.

Moderating: hover a message (or tab to it) for three buttons: delete the message, time the person out for 10 minutes, or ban them. Timeouts and bans have Undo in the message that follows. Messages Twitch removes (yours or your mods') fade and say "message deleted". If you signed in before this was added, sign in again so flint may moderate.

Mod tools (the spanner at the top): slow mode, followers-only, subscribers-only, emotes-only and unique-messages modes, Shield Mode (Twitch's strictest settings at once, for a hate raid), an announcement (a highlighted message in a colour), and clearing chat. A name's card also has Warn (they must acknowledge it before chatting again) and Shoutout; on your own channel, Make VIP and Make mod too.

AutoMod: messages Twitch's AutoMod holds for a look show at the top of your chat with ✓ (allow) and ✗ (deny).

Moderating someone else's channel: if you're a moderator somewhere, the channel name at the top becomes a list: pick their channel and the chat, the tools and the name cards work there, as you. (Only the broadcaster can make VIPs and mods, and AutoMod's queue shows for your own channel.)

The chat dock is just for you: to put chat on the stream, add a Twitch chat source.
